Bianca Sequel Cover: Done

Ah, yes. Deep summer is here, and with it the heat that forces us to slow down a bit and enjoy life.  Now that the book cover for Domenico’s Table, the sequel to Bianca’s Vineyard, is done, and the manuscript is about ready to go to the editor, I’m hoping to do just that soon.

As with Bianca’s Vineyard, my talented son Luke, and his wife Marika, did the photo shoot and are designing the cover.  I’m thrilled with the result and trust you will be too.

For all my subscribers, here’s some  little “leaks” about the sequel to whet your appetite:  It’s post-war, set in 2001 and involves another branch of the Bertozzi family. Though also based on a true story, most of Domenico’s Tableis fiction. In response to many of my readers’ inquiries; yes, elements of Armida are tied into the story, as are what happened to the ancient grape seeds. Bianca makes appearances as well. All that to say, the book cover, though a continuation of the vineyard theme, will have a much more contemporary look.  Fresher, more colorful, etc.

A shout out to the great staff at Williamette Valley Vineyards who hosted me at a recent event. If you ever get to Oregon, be sure to check out their tasting room.  The wine is superb and the views are to die for.  For all the folks who bought books there, mille grazie. I loved meeting you and hope to hear from you.

Thanks also to the Lebanon book club that met at signora Orwick’s and to the Italian book club that invited me to Barnes and Nobles in Vancouver. They were both truly delightful meetings.  Thanks, again.

If you’re in the Salem, Or. area on Saturday, June  23, stop and see me at the Public Library on Commercial St. where I’ll be selling/signing books and giving a short presentation.

Till then, keep cool my friends, and live like an Italian; slow and full of appreciation for life.  Ciao!

I can hardly wait! I think I’ll re-read Bianca’s Vineyard in the meantime. I’m so proud of you for writing a sequel!
